Effectiveness of Counselling Services by Religious Organizations to Psychologically Affected Clients in Arusha City, Tanzania

The purpose of this study was to assess the effectiveness counselling provided by religious organizations psychologically affected clients. An exploratory research design used. involved a population clients aged seven and above who received providers services in Arusha City, Tanzania. Purposive sampling technique employed obtain sample 42 respondents from 22 organizations. data collection tools were interview questionnaire. Content analysis used analyze qualitative while quantitative analyzed through statistical package for social sciences descriptive statistics. established that effective, which indicated fact there is low level psychological distress among respondents. Respondents satisfied with as they managed solve their conflicts, thus meeting goals. Counselling also significant improving lives individuals. recommends should have sources referral networking refer distresses further assistance. Religious are advised increase centres provide education opportunities counsellors enhance services.
